I installed a camera at my parents house, installed the Tapo app on their phones and shared the camera with their accounts. They can get the live view and also receive notifications.

What's missing are the recordings. I didn't install a SD-card, but subscribed to Tapo care premium for cloud recordings. On my phone the recordings appear as intended. How do I get them to show up on my parents phones?

Hello,

Thank you for your question. This is an important point about Tapo Care permissions.


Access to Tapo Care cloud recordings is directly tied to the main account with the active subscription. Currently, the “Share Device” function does not extend cloud recording viewing permissions to the shared accounts. Shared accounts typically only receive Live View, Talk, Voice Call, Pan/Tilt Control, and SD card playback.


Therefore, for your parents to view the cloud recordings, the recommended solution is for them to log into the Tapo app using your main account credentials (the account with the active Tapo Care Premium subscription).
We understand this might not be the most convenient workflow and appreciate your feedback.
