Model: Tapo C211
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.11

Hi All,

I was using 2x C210's and added another one but the C211. Remote viewing via mobile network was working fine on an Android S23+, but after setting up/installing the C211 it stopped on all 3 cameras. Live stream or viewing no longer available via the App. When back on wifi it works fine.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled app and rebooted/set up camera again but the issue persists.

On an Iphone 14 everything works fine, on wifi and mobile network.

I simply installed the C211 and now lost remote viewing on the Android device. All firmware/software across devices are up to date.

How do i get back remote viewing on the Android device?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Please uninstall the Tapo app on your phone, refer to the link to download the Tapo debug app(trial app), install it on your phone, and then test if you can watch your camera locally and remotely on the Android phone.
Best Regards

Hi,
Please double-check if the Tapo app installed on your Android phone is up to date. If not, update the Tapo app and check if it helps.

If the problem remains, please check:
1. The Tapo app version is installed on your Android phone.
2. Try to clean the caches of the Tapo app on your Android phone.
3. The model number and OS version of your Android phone.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

Tapo is up to date.

1. The Tapo app version is installed on your Android phone - V3.7.522
2. Try to clean the caches of the Tapo app on your Android phone - Done and no change.
3. The model number and OS version of your Android phone - S23+ SM-S916B and Android version 14 One UI 6.1

Hope that is the right OS version, so many options. Thanks

  @Solla-topee

Tried this and no luck... When I have a bit more time, I will turn on diagnostics, replicate the issue and send feedback with the logs via the app.

I cant believe it just stopped working, getting frustrating. The set up seems pointless without remote/live view.

Feels like privacy invasion to the max trying to work with TP Link support to get resolved.

Edit: Possible progress using Trial App. I will update later, don't want to jinx it.

  @Solla-topee

I started using a trial app sent by TP Link support and sent them some logs. Remote view has been working fine for the last 4 days.

TP link support has been great and I am honestly not sure exactly what resolved the issue.

Hi,
The latest Tapo app version(3.7.811) has been released on Google Play, it's suggested to install it on your phone and then test if the problem will be solved.
Best Regards
