I have 2 Archer C7 AC1750 mesh wifi routers, and want one to be setup as an access point.  But, it appears the 2 routers need to be connected via an ethernet cable.  Is there any way to set this up as a wireless connection?  I am doing the same with an old Netgear router with one of the Archer C7's (as a repeater, technically), but the connection is not the greatest, so I went and bought the second one, hoping the connection would be better.

Hello @paruby 

1> For stable connection, we  would recommend using a second router in AP mode using an Ethernet cable:

Router<Ethernet>router2 (AP mode)

2> Certain models of router support WDS bridging and second router could use as a repeater, this is not very recommended as the set-up is a bit complicated and sometimes got compability issue, you might give it try:

By the way you wish to build a Mesh, the mesh is build between OneMesh router and  OneMesh extender/powerline devices, not between 2 routers,  you might get a OneMesh range extender if you prefer to extend signal through Wi-Fi:
