Hello David,
This wouldn't be under a security tab as its related to your wireless settings. So you would need to go into the wireless settings to see the menu Open Deco App > Tap More >Tap WiFi Settings > Security. Change the settings to WPA2 (AES) or WPA2/WPA3 or WPA3. WPA2/WPA3 would be best so if you have devices that don't support WPA3 they will remain connected.

@David2023 My WI-FI Setting just shows name, password and advanced option and not any security one.

@David2023 same problem. Really irritating. And going to Advanced does nothing but display band information.

Hi, It is very likely due to the current firmware on your Deco.
If it is still below 1.5.0, you might need to update to the latest firmware first:
How to Update the Firmware of Deco (method 3)
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Nope, that is not the case. Firmware shows as up to date.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app,
the web UI does not allow me to even access anything either. I get this:

@David-TP its not letting my screenshot stick so here's a copy/paste. Cant even get to the web UI......and obviously I AM connnected to my TP Link or I would not be online.
Trying to configure the Router?
It looks like you aren't connected to your TP-Link network.
To access tplinkwifi.net, your device must be connected to TP-Link Router’s network. Please check your network connection and try again.
If this issue still exists, try these following solutions:
Solution One:
Some Web browsers may have cached this page by accident, you can clear the cache and history of your browser and try again.
Besides, you can also try a different browser to access http://tplinkwifi.net.
Solution Two:
You may get the wrong DNS Server. You can use the Router's IP address http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 to login instead of tplinkwifi.net.
It is recommended to connect your device directly to TP-Link router with the wired Ethernet cable.
Note:For Aginet Mesh Devices, Please use http://192.168.88.1 to login instead of tplinkwifi.net.

Hi, Thanks for the update.
When I checked your TP-Link ID, I see your Deco M9 plus is still on 1.2.12 Build 20191014 Rel. 42025 which does not have web UI and not support changing wireless security settings.
But for V2.8(which shares the same firmware as V2), the latest firmware has been Deco M9 Plus(US)_V2_1.6.1 Build 20230403. So for some reason, the firmware was not pushed on your Deco APP. In this way, you might need to update the firmware manually via the upgrade tool in the last reply.
Best regards.
