X55 has Connection Preference, But Get Save Error

When I go into Connection Prefence, and attempt to unclick Auto (ie, turn off Auto), I get an instant "Failed to save your settings. Try again later."
Ok, how much later?
Of course I am wanting to control how some of the more distant Decos connect to the system. Not sure how this is a mesh system otherwise (rather it is just a bunch of WAPs that have poor signals fooling a device into thinking it has good signal).

Hi, welcome to the community.
The last time I saw this error is due to the firmware of some models in the Mesh Network that does not support setting up connection preference yet.
Can I have a screenshot of the current firmware versions on the Deco APP? (Or could you please leave me a message with your TP-Link email account for the Deco APP?)
