Just bought the AXE5300 3 pack Deco mesh from Costco. Initial speeds are increased compared to my Orbi but I'm getting a weak signal regarding wireless backhaul (only 2 bars in "Brian's Office"). I'm directly below the main router on another floor but otherwise there's nothing except drywall that could degrade the signal. My 1 GBPS speed drops to 96 mbps which is really bad. I tried moving the node but still can't get a stronger signal. Sadly it's impossible to do a wired backhaul since the home isn't wired for ethernet. It's also strange it says my speed is only 25 kbps when Speedtest says 965mbps.

Any suggestions?

  @Bereader

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you checked the WiFi Backahul on the Brian's office Deco to see whether it is over 2.4 Ghz/5Ghz/6Ghz?

Since both satellite units are the same, it is also suggested to switch the two satellites XE5300 to see whether the slow speed always follows the same unit.

And the speed rate on the Deco APP does not stand for the overall network bandwidth. It is the real-time internal network traffic going through the CPU of the main Deco.

Thank you very much.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
