I'm thinking on getting a Deco system but will have everything backhauled with ethernet. Currently only my laptop has Wi-Fi 6E and no other device in my home. Maybe if the iPhone 15 Pro has 6E and I end up buying it there will be a second device, but for now that's it.

I´m very interested in the XE75, but it is a bit expensive and apparently here in Chile 6E is not regulated and since I don't understand a lot about it I don't know how that would work. My other options are the X55 and the X68 which I can get for a lot cheaper. I plan on having 1 main deco plugged to a switch that then plugs into other 3 and maybe down the line add another one wirelessly, but I'm still not sure about that.

So I would like to ask which model do you recommend given the price and why.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, welcome to the community.

Normally, users mainly choose WiFi 6E for its extra 6 GHz spectrum and you could refer to An Introduction to 6 GHz Band for Wi-Fi 6E and TP-Link Wi-Fi 6E

If WiFi 6E or 6G hasn't been well adopted in Chile, there might be some unexpected issues when using 6 GHz wireless bands. So considering the price and overall performance, I would recommend Deco X55. Deco X55 is often the first model to add new advanced features, like VPN and IoT Network. Deco X55 Pro is also a good choice and it has two 2.5Gbps Ports.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Thank you for your response. What can happen with a 6E router if 6GHz band is still not fully regulated here? I'm not very knowledgeable about it, so would the signal work differently depending on the country it is being used or is it just that they can't officially sell 6E products here but I can buy them online from another country and they would work just as well? Thank you once again

Hi, If the 6 GHz hasn't been regulated, even though Deco XE75 broadcasts a 6 GHz wireless signal, no mobile device is able to detect it. Many products and services have a region-locking policy to restrict usage outside of their authorized areas, not just routers.

Thank you very much and best regards.
