Deco X55 system has been rebooting since upgrade to Deco X55(US)_V1.6_1.3.0 Build 20230719.

Anyone else have an unstable system after upgrade?

Or could new Tapo L535 bulbs which are slow to respond be causing problems?

I was having ZERO problems before bulbs and upgrade.

NEW: Now my KASA bulbs are extremely slow to respond and the TAPO bulbs are behaving better. Before my recent upgrade to 1.3.0 Build 20230719 I was having ZERO problems. Will downgrading to previous version cause any problems?

  @NuklearNik

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

What are model numbers of the Kasa bulbs?

Can I have more details of the unstable issue on the Deco X55_V1_1.3.0? Any Deco turned flahsing red? What are the devices that dropped out a lot?

Did a reboot of Deco temporarily fix the disconnection for a while?

Downgrading the firmware would require a firmware recovery and you will lose the current network configuration. It is suggested to keep the latest version.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP Good Day,

Thank you for the reply.

The TAPO bulbs that seemed to start my woes are L535E. There are 3 of them. They replaced 3 KASA bulbs because I want to slowly migrate to matter. In total I have about 15 smart bulbs/switches/plugs in the system. About 70 devices in total. The system has been rock solid until the upgrade.

The problem's symptoms have evolved. My system seems to become unstable when I am using the Deco app. Sometimes I receive the message indicating that the ciient list was unable to load and to reboot the main Deco. The section on the main screen for shortcuts to smart devices does not populate and the up/down speed indicators sometimes to not populate.

Sometimes the 2 satellite nodes flash red sometimes they don't when the system beccomes unstable. They are both on ethernet backhaul and have been rock solid until the firmware upgrade.

Deco app is latest version. Bulbs have been firmware upgraded.

I can stream UHD content over ethernet no problems. I typically don't stream wirelessly.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Addendum: I just powered down the 3 Tapo L535E bulbs and the Deco app seems to have gone back to normal. At least so far. Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Deco app on my Tablet and it downgraded from 3.6.6 to 3.5.27
