I've been using my XE75 as an access point for a couple of months and things seemed to be okay until last week. Last week the lights on the Decos turned red and my wifi as well as all connections to the Internet disconnected. After a few minutes the green lights came back and the wifi and wired connecitions all returned. I recieved no notice of loosing my fiber connection, infact the green light on the C5500XK stayed solid green.  This has happened randomly for the past two weeks. Today I chatted with Quantum Fiber and with TP-Link. QF said their end is fine. TP-Link told me to switch the XE75 to router mode. I switched it and rebooted the C5500XK. Everything is up and running so far though somethings need to be tweaked. (my web server is not responding, probably port forwarding needs adjustment.)

I'm wondering if I should change dhcp server to the XE75 or should I continue to let the C5500XK be the dhcp server. Any suggestions?

Hi, welcome to the community.

First, it is suggested to connect a laptop directly via the Ethernet cable to Quantum Fiber ONT C5500XK to confirm the internet is getting through.

Then We could refer to this link to do a MAC Clone:

How to Configure MAC Clone on Deco if Deco fails to connect to the internet

For more detailed troubleshooting instruction, please refer to Unable to connect to the Internet

Best regards.

Thanks for the help. I was able to get most things working except the ddns. When try to use my host name, I get the sign-in page of my C5500XK. How do I fix that so it goes to my apache web server that is on my XE75?

That means ddns is working, but you still have to redirect requests to your web server.

This is done by configuring port forwarding on your modem and/or on your Deco.

You should first ensure that your web server always uses the same local IP address.

Is your Deco configured to operate as a router or as an Access Point?
