I have a TP-LINK AX3000 router that I'm using with Spectrum's 1Gbps fiber connection. When using Wifi (and only wifi; ethernet works fine) certain media and phone apps will not load or only partially function. For example, YouTube works fine, but Twitter will load comments and their text content but will not load images or videos, my ARLO security camera app will load but I can't view my camera live stream or videos saved to the cloud, and my calorie counting app (macrofactor) won't load at all and hangs at the initial loading screen.

Turning off the WiFi and using my phone's data will immediately resolve the problem. After staying off the Wifi for a brief period or restarting the router, the problem is fixed temporarily but starts happening again not long after. If I enable a VPN on any device having these issues, the issues immediately go away.

I'm experiencing this as well. For me it's images in the Target and Facebook apps on my phone. I have not tried turning on VPN. Can you tell me which VPN you're connecting to that worked for you @ShaunZero ?

  @ShaunZero

There have been other strange issues with  Spectrum that involved the DNS settings. Try using a different DNS setting in your router settings and see if it makes a difference. Many are selecting the Google DNS. If so, please report back so it may help others.

added: The reason I think to try this is the ISP's DNS would be bypassed if you are using a VPN.
