Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

I bought a second router so that I can use parental controls on my second router and time out all my kids devices and shut down wireless service.  If I power up both devices neither will give wifi signal.  I don't want to link them together to extend my service, but i want different wifi radio signals so that my kids devices are all on a different wifi name that I can time out during bed times or turn off if guests are over.

  @Kidkong

If you want to use two routers, you set up the main router in router mode and the other in AP mode. The AP mode router is the one you would turn off or on to control the network.

Hi @Kidkong,

Welcome to the community.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by, "If I power up both devices neither will give wifi signal"?

Which devices are you powering on?

What are the firmware and hardware versions of your routers?

As Archer C8 mentioned, you could consider setting up one router as the main, and the other in AP Mode.

Additionally, both models you listed in your original post (AX11000, AXE5400) support the Guest Network feature, which may be worth looking into for your use case.
