Deco X55 - WiFi calling
WiFi calling does not work after installing new TP-Link Deco AX3000 Deco X55 WiFi 6 Mesh system (3 units) (supports ethernet backhaul). Purchased and installed the system 10/18/24, followed all directions provided.
This system states its good for 6500 sq. ft. My house is 2000, I was tired of lagging internet for my kids and decided to get a top rated mesh wifi system.
While this has worked to solve all internet issues for us, full bars everywhere in home and consistent speed tests my system is all wired direct with cat 6 cables from modem to main deco node and then to each other deco node from the main through data drops. Set as a wifi router, gig speed internet all devices work great and even data on phones is good, we dont drop internet or lag during streaming/gaming so why the issue with wifi calling?
It has created another problem - the WiFi calling, dropped calls every single call no matter where you are in the house.
phones all iPhone 14 or newer (Pro Max for wife and I) did not have issues with making phone calls at home prior to this on a standard Asus gaming WiFi router.
I have seen multiple posts on this same topic with no resolution and all posts locked? I have tried turning off SIP ALG, turning off and on Fast Roaming and Beamforming. I have daily reboots scheduled for Deco, Firmware shows updated and auto updates enabled.
What steps can I take? We have 5 phones in my family and I really dont want to mess with port forwarding and what not for every visitor, kids friend and relatives we have overnight that wants to make a call. Verizon wont help because it shows the calls dropping from a network extender and said we need to reach out to the WiFi system support?
