Deco M5 Keeps Dropping Internet For 2 Minutes Daily, 3-4 times a day
Hello -
I am desperately trying to figure out why my Deco M5 mesh Wi-Fi network keeps dropping for exactly two minutes at random times throughout the day, everyday. On average, I'd say it drops about 4 times a day, at random times as well (no consistencies I could identify). For background, this issue started I believe about a month give or take after I upgraded my Xfinity internet to 1100 mbps. (GB internet). At first, I thought it may be my personal modem as I believed reading the specs it can't handle over GB speed, here's my OLD modem for reference (ARRIS (SB8200) - Cable Modem). So I purchased a new modem believing that would solve the issue, here's the NEW modem for reference (Hitron CODA56 Multi-Gigabit DOCSIS 3.1 Modem). However, the dropping issue still continued. Therefore, I believe it is either the Deco system or the connection coming into my house. Why I don't believe it is the ISP connection to my house is due to the application for the modem indicating it has internet even when Deco has a drop and if I look at my modem it has the internet icon illuminated even when there's a 2 minute drop. I've looked up my Deco M5 mesh model and it should be able to handle 1100 MBPS internet speed, but it keeps dropping. I'm genuinely hoping someone here may have an idea as to why this issue keeps occurring, as I'd prefer not to replace the deco mesh network I currently have, but I'm at a loss after doing some troubleshooting via Deco app.
Thank you all! And happy to provide more background as well.
