Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2

Recently I had installed a BE550 main router and another identical one as an Easy mesh satellite. They are not wired together yet they do form a wireless back haul. They both flawlessly support devices that are plugged in the Ethernet ports so I know that the wireless back haul works as intended.

The trouble was with the regular WiFi connection. It was slow and unreliable. After changing every setting possible, I discovered that the problem was that the WiFi password contained an exclamation point at the end.

Even though the setup interface will not stop you from typing it in; it seems that such a symbol is not acceptable.

Some warning during setup would have saved me from weeks of agony.

With a new password my system is working awesome.

Peace.
