Model: Archer AX5400 Pro
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: AX5400 Pro(US)_V1.6_1.3.1 Build 20240426

I've recently started having issues logging into a website (quicken signin page). It would hang when trying to access the password page. Checked all the settings on the TP-Link AX5400 Pro router and don't see anything that would cause this when it used to work fine I turned off the firewall, etc. Finally I switched to my old router and the issue goes away. I did a factory reset and still have the issue. So I'm trying to troubleshoot by downgrading from the newest firmware on my router (v1.6.1.3.1 Build 20240426). But when I try to perform the downgrade, I get the error "Backup file error".  I've tried with both older versions of the firmware downloaded from the support website and from multiple locations on my pc.This is connected by ethernet, so it's not a wireless issue.

I'd appreciate any ideas to help.

Thanks

Hello@Joesc ,

Welcome to our community.

Please hard reset the router and try to downgrade again:

Press and hold the reset button until the Power LED blinks to reset the router to its factory default settings.

Before that, please save a backup file in case you lose connection.

How to create and restore from a backup file on your TP-Link Router

@Joseph-TP I called support and they told me that my router doesn't allow for downgrading the firmware. Regardless, after all my attempts, somehow whatever was blocking the quicken password website was cleared and it works again.

Hello@Joesc ,

Thank you for getting back to me.

So the previous situation may be a fluke?
In any case, the device is now operational again. I suggest you continue to observe for a while, and if the situation recurs, you can collect information in accordance with my previous suggestions.

Have a good weekend~wink
