Did you make the new BE23 the main? Or did you remove the M4 from your network and are now only using the BE23?

We didn't exactly.  The security software offered with newer Deco is HomeShield, whereas Deco systems like the M5 were running HomeCare. HomeCare and HomeShield are both security and parental control features provided by TP-Link. HomeShield is the newer, more advanced software built into many of our Wi-Fi 6 and 7 router models. HomeCare was the original free suite provided by TrendMicro, while HomeShield offers many of its features for free, some features are subscription-based.  This link will direct you to our HomeShield page that will give you all the details about the newer security suite we offer.

I understand your point of view.  What I am saying is that the services offered on the older Deco M5 are not the same as the services provided on the Deco BE23.  HomeShield is an IoT-focused security software suite powered by Avira/Norton.  This was created when the partnership with TrendMicro ended.  Even though it does share many similar features with HomeCare, it is a separate and unique security suite.  Several of the features are free, but there are other features or advanced options that require a subscription.  I understand you prefer the features within HomeCare, but unfortunately, on our newer hardware, HomeCare will not be available as the partnership with TrendMicro has ended.
