Help setting up VLANs or accessibility for each SSID

Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.7

I have a BE63 mesh network set up in AP mode.
I just realized that the different SSIDs (5hz, 6hz, MLO, IoT, and Guest) are not different VLANs but, are all on the same network. And the only apparent segregation is for the Guest network. What's the point of the IoT SSID if it freely communicates with the main network? Theses are not cheap units, I was on the fence between this and the asus units. Asus doesn't have this issue and I'm frustrated that my sprinklers and security cameras have different security settings but can't be isolated from each other.

Please enable VLAN or at least allow the IoT network to be isolated the same way the Guest network is.

I also request a way to allow specific equipment (printers) on my main network to be accessed by visitors on my guest SSID.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concerns about network isolation on your Deco Mesh system. I understand that you are looking for true network separation between your main, IoT, and guest networks, especially to enhance security for devices like sprinklers and security cameras, and to allow selective access for guests.

Currently, the IoT Network on Deco Mesh is designed as a separate SSID to help manage and connect IoT devices more conveniently. However, please note that the IoT Network and the main network are still part of the same Local Area Network (LAN). This means devices on the IoT Network can communicate with devices on the main network and vice versa. The main purpose of the IoT Network is to simplify the setup and management of smart devices and improve compatibility, but it does not provide isolation like the Guest Network does.

Key points:
• The IoT Network is a dedicated SSID for IoT devices, supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands (not 6GHz).
• It does not provide network isolation; devices can communicate across the main and IoT networks.
• Only the Guest Network is designed to be isolated from the main network for enhanced security.
• Most Deco models support the IoT Network feature. If you do not see the IoT Network option, please ensure all Deco units are updated to the latest firmware. If the option is still missing, your model may not support it.

Feature Request: We appreciate your feedback regarding VLAN support and the ability to isolate the IoT Network, as well as allowing selective device access for guests. We will forward your suggestions to our development team for consideration in future updates.
