TP-Link UB500 stops Dell from powering on / booting
TP-Link UB500 stops Dell from powering on / booting
Our office got 6x new Dell computers. When the UB500 adapter is installed the Dell computer will not power on or boot normally. We get a slow blinking white light on the power button.
1) Unplugging the UB500 will result in the Dell computer powering up and booting right away!
2) If the UB500 is left plugged in...the computer might power up and boot after several hours or the next day
We have contacted dell support and they checked the Dell BIOS but so far have not been able to resolve the issue.
Items they checked included:
1) Latestes Dell BIOS 1.8.2
2) BIOS boot order
3) WAN & LAN enabled on boot
The Dell computers are brand new - DELL DESKTOPS DELL PRO MICRO QCM1250 35W TPM 16GB 256GBSSD INTEG NSTND WIN11PRO VPN:1D5HX

I have a DELL Precision 3680 computer.
Windows 10
I’m experiencing the same issue.
I’ve tried every port.
I’ve performed a clean install of every driver.
There are no other Bluetooth devices on my computer.
My drivers are up to date, and my system is new.
I’ve tried every possible BIOS setting.
If I don’t remove the dongle at startup, it makes a clicking sound as if the power is cutting out and returns to the boot screen. When I remove it, it boots up immediately.
Once the computer has booted up, there’s no issue with the device working.
TP-Link needs to find a solution for this.

FYI...stay away from this adapter and don't waste your time.
I was the one that posted the original issue and it has yet to be resolved.
This issue has cost me a client and a significant amount of time and $$$.
I understand that Lenovo has a similar issue.
Using a different brand adapter resolves the issue...now what to do with all these "extra" TP-Link adapters that have been sitting around for months?
