Archer BE 9300 v1.60
Archer BE 9300 v1.60
I am wondering if this router has been retired or EOL'd? There hasn't been a firmware update in almost a year. I spent a small fortune on this beast yet it seems to have fallen by the side. No really firm answer from TP-Link as to why. They posted 1 firmware update a long time ago - it's why I am considering another different router such as ASUS OR Netgear for better support and letting my Archer BE 9300 become like the old Commodore 64 of it's day - a good doorstop.

@WKMAN why do you think I asked if this router has been EOL'd (end of life) because the v2.xx router has seen firmware updates and the v1.6 seems to have fallen off the earth to the recycle bin.

Hello @ninja660 ,
Sorry for the late reply.
Have you already downloaded the link and updated manually? Both the Archer BE550 and Archer BE9300 are BE9300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router.
Also, you can contact local support for further assistance. Who might be able to give you a faster reply.

@Joseph-TP If you haven't checked the link to the file you previously posted - it points to the wrong router, the BE550. Firmware is not interchangeable. I have the BE9300, not the 550 - the file was useless to me.

Hi @ninja660 ,
I understand your concerns, but this firmware is confirmed to be compatible with both models.
Of course, if you're still worried, we respect your choice. You can continue to wait a while and ensure the Auto Update button is enabled on the Firmware Update page. Or you can keep an eye on firmware releases on the official website. The new firmware has already been rolled out to various users.
Thanks.

@Joseph-TP as I had explained earlier, I tried loading the firmware from the link and my router refused that file you had suggested as it said a bad .bin file.

@Joseph-TP I am giving up on this hunk of junk router and use it for a doorstop like I used my old C64 I had years ago. Chalk it up to a learning experience that I won't come back to TP-Link hardware and switch to D-Link, Asus or even worse - Netgear.

Hi @ninja660 ,
Rest assured, we will prioritize your case and try our best to find a final solution for you.
If possible, we would also appreciate a little more information. Both the Archer BE9300 (USW) v1.6 and Archer BE550 (US) v1.6 are BE9300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Routers. To avoid potential differences in firmware identification, could you please provide a screenshot of the label on the bottom of your device?
We would like to confirm the complete model number. Is it Archer BE9300 (USW) v1.6 and Archer BE550 (US) v1.6? You can redact the SN and MAC address on the label.
With enough information, we can more quickly pinpoint the cause for further analysis and provide a more accurate solution.
Thank you for your kind understanding and cooperation.

@Joseph-TP I'm not going to post a screenshot openly to this forum because of the information on that sticker opens one up to hackers and the like. I have for the most part given up on this router and am about to the point of e-cycling this router because this whole situation has become a nightmare. I'm not about to subscribe to additional TPLink services either when they don't support them. I see Walmart has also dropped the price on this router to $158 - so it looks that maybe it is close to EoL. I'm not going to waste any further effort on this. I've got other more important things to worry about.
