Serious issues with BE800
I recently purchased a BE800 and it has been having serious problems. It seems as though it requires a reboot nightly, or it simply stops working. Frankly, as a software engineer, it seems like a memory leak to me, something that just causes it to fail over time.
There is literally nothing useful in the logs, either. (By the way, my D-LINK from 20 years ago was able to log to an external SYSLOG server, but this unit is not, which is absurd.)
Is there a way to backlevel the firmware? This all started after an update.
Has TPLINK acknowledged officially that the V1 hardware is bad? I have seen a lot of references to that.
I am very upset about this, as I bought this quite recently and it was expensive.

@tdnyc I have had a BE800 for 2+ years and haven't had any issues like that with it. I am currently running the beta firmware on it and have not run into any issues. Are you in a populated area? Might be interference from neighbors causing some issues. I was running the 1.3.2 until the beta one came out. If I remember right I did a factory reset after applying the 1.3.2 version.
The beta firmware can be found here:
If you install it, you can NOT go back to the 1.3.2 version.

@DVair Thank you for commenting.
I do live in a populated area (I live in Midtown Manhattan.) However, the device was functioning flawlessly before. I believe strongly that problems began when I performed the update.
Perhaps I will investigate interference again (although I don't think that's the issue, since as mentioned above, it was working fine before.)
I believe it is a software issue because performance gets worse over time. I have configured it to reboot every day now because it becomes almost unusuable if I don't. This is indicative of some kind of resource / memory leak usually.
Thank you for the link to the beta software. I am not likely to install beta software knowing that there is no easy way (or any way) to revert it.
I find it completely unacceptable that you can't revert to a prior version of the software. For anyone reading this, I strongly recommend that you don't purchase this device. It is quite expensive and the situation with support and software updates is completely unacceptable.

@tdnyc If your network setup is not too complicated, I would recommend doing a factory reset and manually setting up your network. That helped me with some previous versions of the firmware. (was also a D-Link user prior to getting the BE800)

Welcome to our community.
Looks like your BE800 router will lose the network connection every night. Have you connected a PC directly to your modem to verify if your ISP's Internet is stable?
