  @HelpFixDecoApp So, I just changed both patch cables for brand new CAT6 going into and out of the Deco BE25. Speed shown in the Deco App speed test is consistently around 550/25. Using my laptop, the direct modem speed is pretty much the same.

Using WIFI or direct to the Deco via patch cable, the speeds are still only 20/25 even though the Deco speed test is showing 550/25. This leads me to believe that its a setting somewhere that I am missing.

When the Archer was the router and the DECO was in AP mode, I had very good speeds but I wanted to backhaul the furthest unit. The network iitself appears to be going the job with the exception of the speed from the Deco out.

I'm going to have you open a ticket on this. Starting to wonder if there is something wrong with that main deco since the rest of them are working correctly.

First please access the Deco web UI by entering "tplinkdeco.net" in your browser. Navigate to Advanced > System > System Log, select "ALL" in the log type, and save the file to your local computer. Then follow the steps below making sure to attach the logs to the email.

I recommend sending an email to forumsupport.usa@tp-link.com with the following information:

  @Cymru1 @HelpFixDecoApp

Support wasn't really that helpful so I decided to start all over again. I unplugged and reset everything.

I started by only connecting the main Deco. Surprise, 550/25 which is what my ISP sells me. Next, I plugged in the 2.5Ghz unmanaged switch. After each step, I did a speed test both with the Deco app and with speedtest.net.

The switch caused no change. Next was to add the second wired Deco. It went through the motions and green light. I ran the speed test. Deco app 550/25, speedtest.net 20/25. Frustrated, I unplugged everything and plugged it in again. After it booted, I had 550/25 across the board. I was making progress... I plugged in the Stream box to the second port of the wired backhaul and no change in speed.

Then I added the Wireless Deco and waited for the green light. Tested again and, App speed 550/25, speed test, 20/25. Because it worked before, I unplugged everything and plugged it back in. App and speed test back to 550/25. That's wired and wireless.

I have no idea why this happened and I was within 5 minutes of sending the Deco's back, but I've now got a great network and no issues, even after connecting all of the peripheral devices.

Moral of the story, if your speed over the network is less than the Deco App speed, and you have a good network, don't just reboot one at a time. Remove power from everything and plug back in one by one. It finally worked for me and even though it was frustrating, I am very, very happy now.

Thanks to all that offered suggestions.

Glad you got everything working. Sorry it took all that. If you wouldn't mind can you send them your logs again now that it's all working? Maybe it will help them figure out why it's all working now.

Thanks.
