Model: Deco X75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4999 Build 20260319 Rel, 57838

I have 4 Deco X75 pros.  Main router is on the first floor, I have an additional satellite on the first floor, one on the 2nd and one in the attic where my office is located.  The first 3 months I had this set up it worked beautffully on both zoom and MS teams.  Now my call quality is terrible.  I have disabled beam forming and all the other stuff.  I have locked and priortized my laptop to one node and nothing gets better.  I have fidium fiber 1gb internet.  When I test in the office I have a strong signal Download is 140, upload is 100, unloaded latency is 10 and loaded latency varies from 80 to 290ms.  Any ideas on how i could optimize?  It is bad enough I may have to get a new system so that I can work.

Since you're experiencing lag and latency issues during video conferencing, please follow these additional troubleshooting steps:

1. Test direct modem connection: Connect your laptop directly to your Fidium fiber modem for comparison. If the issue persists when directly connected, please contact your ISP for further assistance.

2. Check QoS settings: Open the Deco app, navigate to MORE > QoS, and ensure that the QoS bandwidth matches your subscribed Internet speed (1Gbps in your case).

3. Verify Speed Limit settings: In the client list section of the Deco app, select your laptop and verify that 'Speed Limit' is disabled and that 'Connection Preference' settings are not mistakenly configured (connection preference should be 'auto' by default).

4. Check Parental Controls: In the 'Parental Control' section of the Deco app, ensure that your laptop is not accidentally restricted by parental control profiles.

5. Check attic satellite signal strength: Since your office is in the attic connected to a satellite unit, ensure that the satellite unit's signal strength is at least 2 bars in the Deco app, as a signal strength of only 1 bar may cause latency or stability issues. If your satellite units are connected via Ethernet backhaul, double-check the Ethernet connection (connect main and satellite units directly, without going through switches, if possible) and ensure that "Ethernet Backhaul" is correctly displayed in the Deco app.

6. Verify Wi-Fi band connection: Ensure your laptop is connected to the 5GHz or 6GHz band instead of 2.4GHz, as 2.4GHz is not recommended for latency-sensitive activities like video conferencing. Also ensure you're connected to the main network rather than the guest or IoT network.

If you require further assistance after trying these steps, please reply back to this post.

Thanks

Hi,
When placing your laptop near the main Deco and connecting to it, do you have any problems when calling on Zoom or MS Teams? If so, please describe the detailed phenomenon you are experiencing.
Do you have any problems when using other apps on your laptop? If you connect other devices to the main Deco and join a Zoom or MS Teams call, do you experience the same phenomenon?
Best Regards
