so im basiclly trying to take the xfinity wifi hotspot that i can access through my PCs wireless card, then through my Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet cable to my router and share that hotspot with my router, so my other devices can connect to it. From what i have read, it IS possible, but everything i have tried, hasn't worked, any help is appreciated.

Best to just get a travel router as they are inexpensive. That is what my son uses when he comes visit me that way all his devices work. In your case, other posts have reported issues where 2.4 works and the 5 GHz does not work on the Xfinity hotspot. Not sure why. Be sure you plug into one for the WAN ports not the LAN port. Others have reported issues with double NAT. I run Apple so maybe one of the Windows persons may have more info.
