Deco x68 unable to change WiFi channels
Hello,
I have a JBL Bar 9.1 Sound bar with wireless surround speakers that use the 5725MHz- 5875MHz frequency range. My Deco x68 5Ghz band interferes with them. I can confirm this by simply turning off the 5Ghz and the interference goes away immediately.
I need to change the frequency/channel on the router, and can't find any advanced options in the web interface or the Deco app.
Can you please help me?
Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the community.
Could you please use a Wi-Fi analyzer to check which channel is used by the 5ghz of Deco currently?—it would be highly appreciated if you could send me a screenshot of the test.
Normally, It would be on the band 1(channel 36.40.44.48) 5150Ghz-5250Ghz.
Thank you very much.

@TP-Link I have the same problem with my Bose system. Before getting the Deco X68 router never had an interference issue. Since installing these my sub and surround speakers crackle and pop nonstop. Were you able to fix your issue?

Sorry for the late response. I never received a direct answer. It would be a simple thing to add this to a beta firmware and test. The interference is 100% caused by my Deco router. I can repeat the problem by simply turning on the 5ghz band. As soon as I do that, I get interference in my speakers. Turn it off and it immediately goes away.
I wish someone from TP-Link would contact me about adding this most basic of features back to the firmware so I could just change the channel.

@Fizzius says ...
Seems like this type of functionality would be highly beneficial to the end users, especially on these more robust units (X60/68 and up).
I agree. I even tried using the browser. I would like to move my channel as well since optimization has no affect.

@TP-Link Why is it that we cannot utilize channels 149 through 165 on 5 GHz?
