Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20210205 rel.12759(5553)

Is it possible to set up openvpn on my TPLink router to use an IP address from my DHCP pool on the router?

I'd like to be able to VPN to my router and get assigned an IP from my local DHCP pool.

Can this be done?

Hi @marklyn,

The functionality to use a VPN is actually build into the UI of your router!

The options for VPNs are hidden behind the advanced settings tab at the top of the screen when you are accessing your UI from the web. After toggling the settings into advanced mode, there should be a menu option labeled VPNs that is now accessible to you. Let me know if you have any troubles accessing these settings.

  @Riley_S

No, I get it, I know the functionality is built into the router and that is what I'm using.

But, the IP address by default starts with a 10.x.x.x and I'd like a vpn connection to be part of my router's 192.168.0.x DHCP assignment or a 192.168.0.x ip address.

Is this possible?
