Deco M5 DHCP not assigning IP addresses
I'm using the system that consists of 12 Deco (10 M5 including the main, 2 X20). Recently I've started to face the issue when some devices (PS5, Mac books) are connecting to the network but not the internet. They are not getting an ip.
I saw 2 years old topic, and the solution mentioned there is to put the DNS addresses to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 which is already the case in my situation.
the DHCP range is 50-250. The connected devices in average are around 50-60, the maximum number of connected devices was 108 which is still less than the DHCP range.
in the log I see some repetitive messages such as:
daemon.err udhcpd[13333]: checked a ip conflict node:192.168.68.84
daemon.err udhcpd[13333]: find_free_or_expired_nip
daemon.err udhcpd[13333]: checked a node ip same
daemon.err udhcpd[13333]: ip conflict, find a new ip: 192.168.68.98, ready to arp check
daemon.err udhcpd[13333]: send arp packet:192.168.68.98
I have few devices with reserved IPs but the majority are using DHCP
The work around for me was to keep restarting the main deco, or wait for sometime (5-10 minutes, sometimes more) till the device gets an ip.
is it a known issue for the admins? are they working on a solution? is there a configuration fix?
