Model: Archer C4000  
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.3

I had just switched my router to this new Archer C4000 and after installation it starts working perfectly fine, but the next day we start having connection issues.

 

Im able to see my internet while looking at the different wifi around my area for a couple of seconds then it disappears.

The router lights are perfectly in working condition and my modem is also working

Im able to use my Pc with a Ethernet cord but other than that any actual use of the wifi isnt available unless youre right on the router

 

 

What ive done:

Ive tried to change the channel strength back and forth from low to high

Ive tried changed the DNS

Ive done a restart plenty of times

Ive done a factory Restart

Also when seeing the internet from more than 1 or 2 feet i try to connect and it changes from connecting to saved over and over

Ive contacted my ISP and was told to contact my routers manufacturer customer support (unfortunately Tp Link is down for on call)

Ive been trying to figure this out for days but I just cant find out the problem

I would first check the firmware version that you are running with the build number and compare it to the most recent version available here: C4000 Firmware Downloads

 

Otherwise, I would recommend attempting to change the channels that are being used by the router. I would also recommend disabling the Smart Connect Feature to separate the bands into their own SSIDs, then check to see if the behavior exists across both the 2.4 and the 5Ghz bands. 

 

Lastly, does anything show in the router logs that could potentially indicate an error has occurred with the network?
