Hey all,

So I have a 2pc X55 system currently and I'm wanting to connect a POE security camera I have. Would it be possible to add an X50POE unit to my current system, power it using the AC power, and then connect the POE port to the security camera? I can't really run cable from the base out to the camera, so trying to rig an intermediate wifi solution.

Thanks for your time and feedback

  @Phendyr

Hi, welcome to the community.

I am afraid Deco X50-POE could not work as a power supply equipment, like a POE switch. It could only work as a powered device.

Best regards.

@David-TP thanks, Im new to this type of equipment, is there auch a device that can connect to my network via wifi, and provide a poe power source? OR, can I simply add an injector between the X-50POE and my POE device?

not the most clean setup but if it works, it may have to for a while.

Thanks for your time.
