Extender 5ghz light is on but there is no 5ghz
I have reset the device and rebooted the router but it still shows it is connecting to 5ghz.
Can you advise what is actually happening?

Hi, May I know the model number of your host router?
Do you mean the router does not support 5GHz or you haven't configured 5GHz on the RE305 during setup?

@Alan03 5ghz is turned off on the router. Yet the 5ghz blue light on the extender is still on
You can easily check to which host network your RE305 5GHz band is connected to by login in it WebGUI :
