Firmware Version: 1.2.12 Build 20191014 Rel.

The hardware is version 2.8.

In the app, I have clicked on Update Deco, but it says it is up-to-date with firmware version 1.2.12 Build 20191014 Rel.

I want to update my wifi to WPA2, I think I understand I will need to update the firmware first.

please help

Hi, The latest firmware for Deco M9 Plus_V2/V2.8 is 1.6.2:

Deco M9 Plus(US)_V2_1.6.2 Build 20230906

You could refer to method 3 to update the firmware from 1.2.12 to 1.6.2:

@David-TP I just posted about this to Reddit. Thanks for the info. One question: I have a setup with 3 M9+ decos, but the update tool only finds one. Do I need to run it three times connected to each of them individually, or just update the primary unit (who'll then update the others)? Thanks!
