Model: Archer AX4400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 build 20230626 rel36899

I've recently had verizon fios installed and got this router. When setting up via the tether app everything went fine. Now when I go to my android (s22) wifi screen and select my wifi it let's me log in with the wpa password then give me a pop up that says you must sign in to the network (like if you were using the wifi at a hotel or hospital). This page is blank and eventually says "err:connection timed out". If I turn off cell data there is no internet connection when connected to the wifi network.

Hey  @Kman2,

Do you know if the Archer Router was setup in AP mode or left in Router Mode?

As far as I know, Archer's do not have a 'portal authentication' option, as it is formally called.

Did Verizon also give you a router or a gateway(modem/router)? Does it have its own Wi-Fi?

If so, then you may have two routers on your network right now and need to change your Archer Router to work as an AP, or change the IP Passthrough and Bridge settings on your verizon gateway.
