@clarinetJWD I've called them and after multiple firmware updates, it's still behaving the same. Three company probably knows there's some potential hardware issues and don't want to admit.

The solution to this is a simple fix that I cannot understand why it hasn't been implemented.

 

The understandable claim by TP-Link support is that the switch must first confirm that the activity is not a long press or double tap before treating it like a single press.   Sure, that takes time and it makes sense.

 

However, if both double tap and long press have been set to "None" in the app, effectively disabling them, then the logic should be to not require and wait for a confirmation of which activity occured. If the only viable option is single tap, then treat all activity as a single tap.
