Kasa 3 Way Dimmer - Orange Light Stays On!
Kasa 3 Way Dimmer - Orange Light Stays On!
K230 Kit 3 Way Dimmer - Installed all wires correctly on main and satellite switches, however getting steady orange light on main switch. Does not blink orange/green to connect with wireless internet in house. Checked continuity of each wire. All good. How can I upgrade firmware if I can't connect to switch? How can I resolve steady orange light. Connected exactly as outlined in Kasa App for 3 Way Dimmer Switch.

Hello everyone,
If KS230 3-way dimmer has Orange Led, please try to factory reset th KS230 main switch and see if the WiFi led flash amber and green
- Try to factory reset KS230 as User Guide by pressing RESET button on the left bottom of main KS230
Press and hold (about 10 seconds) until the status LED blinks amber rapidly to factory reset the3-way dimmer kit.

my KS230 flickering issue while dimming is fixed after downgrading the firmware version to 1.0.10. My current version was 1.0.12 which was buggy.

If you have tried a factory reset, can you share the 1) wiring of main & Satellite KS230 2) could you manually turn on/ off KS230 kit on that support email, thank you.

wiring is per paper instructions included with kit line - traveler 1 - traveler 2 - ground - neutral for main
then load - traveler / traveler / ground for companion.
it was all working for about 5-10 minutes while I did initial install. Then I closed walls up put plates on while power was off and when I turned power back on it was solid orange.
this is all in brand new wiring from a new install.
i am wondering if a firmware update has bricked the device as I'm reading a lot of complaints about that. This is the 3rd kit device that has done this to me.

I also have this issue. Switch worked fine for a few days then this happened. No resets help and there is no WiFi broadcast from the switch, so I can't do anything that way either. I installed 3 kits, the other 2 kits are working ok. Support reached out to me with suggestions, but non helped and they have been silent for 2 months now. I would like the switch replaced as it cost me over $50 for the kit. Every other switch in my house works fine. I have already ordered a new kit as my wife is upset about this one switch not working.
