  @JoseCFesno

That does sound like the concerns we have seen on some of our other camera products.  Are engineers are looking into this and we hope to have it resolved soon.

@Carl Good Morning.   I'm liking the new doorbell; it seems to fit my needs nicely...

except for one issue.

I get alerts when motion is detected, but NOT when the doorbell is pressed.   I'm running iOS 16.1.1 on an 8S.  Fully subscribed to cloud services; and all motion alerts are coming through normally.

I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Help, please?

Thanks in advance.

Michael

I want to love the KD110 as I have all other Kasa devices at home but it will not broadcast WiFi so I can connect it.  I have reset it.

I have followed all the guides at https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3442/

I bought a new transformer with the following specs and changed to 16 gauge wire and still no WiFi broadcast even when direct connected to the transformer in the electric box, bypassing the chime.

Features & details

  • Hardwired Transformer: Input: 120v AC 60Hz; Output: 16V AC 30VA
  • UL Registered: the doorbell transformer has passed the UL certification; Safe and long lasting
  • Class B Insulation: the long-term operating temperature of the 24V transformer is 130 degrees Celsius/ 266 degrees Fahrenheit and will not break the doorbell and thermostat due to excessive temperature
  • 50W 25ΩJ Resistor: connecting a resistor to the transformer can make your doorbell more stable and safe to use
  • Wide Compatibility: the 16V transfoemer is compatible with Ring Video Doorbell Pro, Eufy Video Doorbell, Blink Video Doorbell, Arlo Video Doorbell, XTU Wireless Doorbell; Note: the brand above is only for demonstrating compatibility

lights come on as it should and blinks orange and green. Even the doorbell button lights up.

If the light at the top of the doorbell is blinking Orange and Green then it should be in setup mode and the Doorbell's default network should be showing up in your available network list.  If it is not I would recommend holding the reset button for 30 seconds and trying again.

yes I have already done that and it still doesn't broadcast. I've opened a support ticket and got a response from an engineer 2 days ago and I provided them video information they requested and now haven't heard back.

Can you provide me that ticket number.  I can try to look it up and see if I can get an update for you.

Thanks for trying.  I returned the camera today due to lack of support and bought an Amcrest which works perfectly.
