When I have the KS230 hooked up, I hear a soft fizzing sound coming from the switch. It sounds almost like the sound of a carbonated drink only softer. I hear it in the main switch only and not the satellite. Is this normal? I have tried multiple KS230 kits and its the same thing.

Please check if other KS230 kits performs the same in another location / when working with different bulb or light fixture.
You could check with the light support and check if the LED/ Incandescent light could work with a dimmer based on ' Triac' dimming type, instruction below also applies to KS230:
