6g/2g router connectivity needed
With the new 802.11ax routers, non of your devices (2g) will connect even when taking the device extremely far away from the router. If Kasa doesn't upgrade for connectivity to 6g/2g technology then Kasa will eventually lose thousands of customers.

Hello @Rick65
Wi-Fi 6 or 802.11ax is backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standard 802.11b/g/n so kasa devices should be able to connect to a Wi-Fi 6 router.
You could check if router's 2.4Ghz is on 802.11 b/g/n/ax mixed, which commonly used.
If kasa fails to connect to Wi-Fi network of your router, kindly check if suggestions here helps and start a new thread with some case details like model of router, error in the kasa app etc. so we could take a further look at it.
