KS225 Missing Fade in Option
The app is missing the feature to fade in and fade out the lights. It's still available on my older HS220's but for some reason this basic option isn't available when scheduling lights to come on in the morning or go off at night

Have you tried to check for updated firmware to see if that gives your KS225 the Fade option?
To check for firmware updates in the Kasa or Tapo app from the Home tab click on the icon of a person in the top left off the app then go to Firmware update
Download and install any updates if the option isn't there after the update or there are no updates i recommend posting your request here.
Ideas for new feature tend t get lost on the forums.
Thank you

Thanks, yes both the firmware and the iOS app are fully up-to-date. Seems like strange oversight by tp-link as other forumn users both here and on reddit have complained about this missing function as well. It's literally a built in function on my old HS220's but I can't do it with the newest version of the hardware. I figured out a workaround for now by using Alexa to set up a routine, but it's disorganized to have some routines in the app and then other schedules on another platform that I use less frequently.

@Wayne-TP
Hi Wayne, Yes, I see that. It's hard for me to grasp the logic behind this. You have two pieces of hardware, one which is ~5+years old and it has greater functionality than a recently released product? I also have difficulty comprehending why this is an issue to solve considering 3rd parties such as Amazon, Smartthings, google Home etc. are able to use this exact same piece of hardware and can ramp/fade the light in and out meaning that it's not an issue with the hardware, nor likely any issue with the firmware, but rather with your programming of your iOS app. Please have your iOS programmers review and advise why this functionality can be provided by 3rd parties on your own hardware, but not by TP-Link on your own hardware?
