Hey guys and gals, my app is super slow to work. When I get into the app and tap my camera it's all good but when I go to use the pan feature I have to wait 20ish seconds for the pan feature to initiate. Between the time of notification of movement and being able to pan is in the neighborhood of 45 seconds. 

 

It may not seem like much but when you need to be able to respond to a potential threat it is too long. 

 

I am behind a dns server but even when it's disabled nothing changes. 

 

Is this a common occurrence or am I a minority?

Hi, 
You can try the following steps and see if they help.


  1. Please ensure your Tapo app is up to date. You can uninstall and reinstall the latest one from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Try rebooting the camera and test if it helps.
  3. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value. If the RSSI is weak (< -60 dBm), please move the camera and router closer to see if this helps. Please also ensure your phone has a stable internet connection and adequate speed.
  4. Ensure the camera is powered by the original power adapter and cord, rather than other power adapters or extension cables.
