This is a query, I don't know if the issue is with Amazon Alexa or my setup.

As of Tuesday @ ~ 5:45p EST time, none of my person detection based routines in Alexa are triggering.

I've checked the Tapo app and the cameras are correctly flagging and recording person detected events, but the Amazon Echo Routines are no longer activating.

I currently use 3 C113 cameras as very smart motion detectors in public areas of my house. We have 3 cats and neither motion detectors nor presense sensors worked as they get everywhere; these cameras were THE perfect solution, until now. Using the cameras allowed me to have lights (and other devices like aroma machines, air purifiers, TVs, etc.) turn on/off automatically depending on detecting or not detecting a human being in the room, ignoring the cats' motion entirely. This is a big deal to me. I only use LED based lights throughout my home and this has still managed to cut my electricity bill (significantly enough) vs. depending on motion and presense sensors which no matter how finely tuned, would trigger at times due to the cats and their shenanigans.

So my question is for other Tapo users and Tapo (if someone there is reading this).

Kit:

3x C113 cameras connected through H500 Homebase.

I will attempt to pull 1 camera from the Homebase to see if there's any effect, although again, I made no changes to anything.

Hi,
Please ensure you can control the Tapo cameras remotely in the Tapo app. Then, try disabling the Tapo skill and re-enabling it in the Alexa app to see if this helps.
Best Regards

Good Morning,

The Tapo skills otherwise work and yes the cameras can be controlled and viewed remotely. The only thing affected to my knowledge right now seems to be the person detection routines triggering based on the cameras.

I have tried:

1. Disabling/Unlinkiny and re-linking the Tapo Skill

2. Checking the Tapo cameras to make sure they are enabled in Alexa.

3. Double checking the routines and cameras used in them.

4. Deleting and re-creating a routine, for testing purposes.
5. Rebooting every Echo device in the home.

6. Rebooting and then power cycling all my Tapo cameras.

7. Double checking Tapo settings (person detection is and has been enabled)

Thanks.
