Raising alarm

I would like raising alarm, meaning the alarm will go louder and for longer time when more and more persons are detected.

For example a person triggers default 5 seconds alarm.

When second person is detected within one minute, alarm will go louder for 15 seconds.

Third person and more within next minute, will trigger loudest alarm for 30 seconds.

After 10 minutes alarm would reset to 5 seconds, normal loudness.

Please add also alarm loudness control to smart actions.

Hi,
For your feature request, could you please describe the detailed use case for evaluation? For example, why do you want the camera to alarm louder when detecting the second and third person? Thanks!
Best Regards

Hi, thank you for responding. Short 5 seconds sound alarm is not really alarm, it serves rather to inform people about camera presence. Even better would be short one second chirp. Increasing number of detections, within assumed timeframe, is more reliable sign intrusion started This of course depends on environment where camera is used. Inside let's say apartment just a single detection is enough to raise long lasting alarm. However when you monitor let's say a yard or front of the house, camera sometimes may cover random pedestrian traffic, to which you do not want raise alarm. When you have gatherings, riots you have more detections and this is when you may need loud, long alarm. Smart action would be more appropriate, but with currently available options, does not provide solution.

Hi,
Usually, in the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Alarm page, you can tap Alarm Duration to customize the alarm duration. For example, you can set the camera to sound an alarm for up to 30 seconds when detecting an event.

Thank you for your description of the use case for the requested feature. I'll log the use case and your feature request, then forward them to the relevant team for evaluation.

Best Regards
