Model: Kasa KC410S
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.3.27

I think Kasa KC410S is still one of the bestselling models on Amazon .

The mode has obviously some features that need some improvement and bug fixes.

The latest version of Tapo app appears having issues with the Kasa cameras.

It doesn't show any videos clips on the Tapo apps after the latest Tapo app update 3.16.106 and 3.17.103 when the Tapo apps shows there are video clips recorded.

Moreover, opening the Kasa camera through the Tapo app always takes a long time to load.

However it seems most of the kasa cameras haven't received any firmware updates since late 2024.

What is the reason for not updating Kasa cameras even though they are still selling on the market?

There were issues reported over a year ago regarding the camera failure of overwriting the sd card for continuous recording issue

but it hasn't received any response from TP-LINK

  @Zingy

Hi,
As you can see on the official website, the KC410S's latest firmware version (2.3.27 Build 20241112) was published on June 09, 2025.

Typically, in the Tapo app > camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback page, you can tap the cloud icon/SD card icon, select the date, and then watch the stored video recordings.
If you can't see any video recordings on the Tapo app, please confirm the following information.
  1) Have you inserted an SD card into the camera to store video recordings? Is the SD card full?
  2) What's the model number and capacity of your SD card?
  3) Please refer to the following instructions to confirm whether your storage settings are correct: How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card

If your SD card is full but the new recordings fail to overwrite the old recordings, are there any abnormal phenomena that occur, such as no new recordings available? Have you tried a different SD card?
This phenomenon may also be related to the SD card. We suggest using an SD card on the compatibility list for a try, and then check whether the old recordings will be overwritten when the SD card is full.
What type of microSD card does Tapo/Kasa Camera support?

Best Regards
