Hi All

 

Is there any possible to connect Tapo C400S2 or H200 to HomeAssitant?  like get the RTSP url of camera or url of smart hub H200?  i think the camera is behind the hub and connect to Hub via a private wifi.

 

any suggestion?

The Integrations that you see with Home Assistant are not officially supported services and are developed by community members. Currently, only cameras that use the ONVIF or RTSP Streaming Protocols will be compatible with third-party IP camera services. For Tapo, this extends to most of the devices that connect directly to your home's wireless network.

 

As a general rule of thumb, if the camera is battery-powered or communicating with another protocol such as Zigbee or Sub-G, the device will not be using ONVIF/RTSP as these are very power-intensive devices and will quickly drain the battery of the camera.
