Besides the beta firmware, it is also planned to release the official firmware for Band selection. Keep an eye on the official website or router web GUI for the new updates.

If you are not sure about how to select the band manually on the router web interface, check the instructions below:

@Kevin_Z

The firmware for MR600(EU)_V1 in your message is version 1.1.9. But I have already installed version 1.2.0, which is from May 2020 (1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n).

Why does a new firmware version have a lower version number?

Hi, the beta firmware version was provided prior to the latest official one, so this band selection is no included in the official yet.

I'm afraid we cannot provide you the beta firmware to manually select the band on the MR200(EU) v2.1, sorry.

Band selection settings made in beta firmware should remain set if you then update to release. Been using it that way for a while now. You'll need to revert to beta to change them of course.

This beta fixes the SMS problems so I'll stick with it for now.

@JerryAtrick

Since I upgraded to the new beta the router (MR600) has locked up multiple times in two days, only solved by a reboot, so I've reverted to the old beta firmware. I'm beginning to think it's simply unsalvageable. I wish they'd release a stable firmware with band selection, but I won't get my hopes up.
