C200 only allows 5 mins of streaming before prompting!
Hi my c200 randomly pops up the window after 5 minutes of monitoring and asks if I would like to continue the stream. How do I resolve this issue? It is my baby monitor and I need to be monitoring it continuously. I am watching the stream through the TAPO app, both my devices are on the same WIFI network, there are no firewall settings enabled that blocks devices within this network and lastly both my devices have the most updated software and/or firmware.

Facing Same issue. Got 2 tapo camera for baby monitoring. It has become issue as we have to keep clicking continue button .

Hi,
If you want to watch the Tapo camera remotely but without interruption, you can try to stream it via RTSP/ONVIF, such as installing the iSpy or VLC program on your computer/laptop to stream the camera. However, this process will require you to open port 554/2020 on your router for the camera.

@lkenlken I have the same use case and therefore the same problem. This device went from super useful to almost useless in one software update! Not only does it prompt every five minutes, disrupting whatever I am doing (desperately trying to get something accomplished during baby's short naps) but when you opt to keep streaming it resets the zoom. Please software devs, stop making releases that ingnore major use cases.

@addu Here are my suggestions for a try:
1) disconnect the internet cable from your router. 2) force close the Tapo app, connect your phone to the same wifi as the camera, and reopen the Tapo app to stream the camera. 3) if step 2 works, connect the internet cable to your router, and check if the continue prompt disappears

SOLUTION!!
On IPad/iphone
go to settings > WI-FI > YOURNETWORK click blue i in the circle ⓘ you should see your WiFi settings now.
Turn OFF > Private WI-FI address !
Actually you may need to turn off "Limit IP Address tracking" as well

Yes this is work for me. On one iPod where I have old iOS I don't have any troubles but on iOS I need to turn this off to make it work

Have tried this and keep getting message. I need to be able to remotely monitor when I leave house. This is a basic function of a remote monitoring camera. Also now an old issue as some threads go back to 2021. False advertising and I intend to complain to the standards authority. This is dangerous if you are using it to monitor a baby.
