Tapo C320WS - Option for Video quality /compression
***Please click "VOTE" button at Upper-Left of window for Tapo to finally consider this***
Hi TP Link / Tapo,
In relation to issue I've posted on Low video quality, maybe we can also Add Option for user to select the Overall video quality or Bitrate they want - indicating the possible implication on their storage.
This way those have 128gb or 256gb could select Highest possible Video quality as they have enough room for high bitrate / low compress video. Avoiding the issue of overly compressed / pixelated video currently that barely useful to identify person face at all.
Alternatively, not sure if we can look for way to utilize H.265 video format - I believe this could hardware related but better to check as this format is a lot storage efficient than current H.264. Utilizing this will help us achieve same file size but higher quality / bitrate overall.

Hi everyone,
Thank you very much for your votes and comments on this thread. We certainly appreciate all your feedback and feature requests here, and we'll make sure to log these feature requests and pass them along to the team to evaluate and continuously improve our products and deliver the best performance possible.
For better image/video quality, here are some tips for a try.
1) Make sure the camera's firmware and Tapo app are up to date.
2) Adjust the Video Quality option on the Camera Settings page of the Tapo Cam on the Tapo app, higher quality video looks better.
3) Adjust the location and direction of the camera based on the actual environment for better image/video quality.
It's recommended to contact TP-Link technical support with the following information for further analysis if there is a problem with the image/video quality.
1. The model number and MAC address of the Tapo Cam.
2. The Video Quality settings configured on the Tapo Cam.
3. The picture or video that shows the image/video quality issue.
Best Regards

This is also needed for the C420S2. To benefit from the 2K cameras you need to fix this crazy compression and increase the bitrate.

I agree on the pixelated problem. In my attachment, there are square "filmy like" pixels where the water meets the bulkhead that makes it impossible to tell if the tide has overlowed the bulkhead onto the lawn. If I zoom in a even a ittle more , the pixelation makes this camera unusable for this purpose.

An option should be available to adjust the bitrate of the C320WS camera. The camera is a 1440p camera, but with the current bitrate limit, the quality of the camera is closer to that of a 720p camera unfortunately.
I notice this request has been out here for over 4 months.
Tapo Support, could we have an ETA for when this feature enhancement will be added? A bitrate adjuster should have been built into the camera before it was released.
If you have this camera and have not yet voted for this feature request, be sure to do so now. The vote icon is in the top left of the page above.
Currently we have 10 votes and we need many more to move this request into the Under Consideration stage.

@Tapoflaws lets all unite and vote for this feature to be considered and impleted by Tapo. Right now our cameras are useless.
They wrongly advertized it to have clear and 2K image and yet its very pixelated and cant even recognize the face. Whats the use of it then?
