Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.2.0 Build 20230629 Rel.64012

Hey guys

I bought an er605 router to work with two wan load balance, working perfectly.

I have in my network another google Wifi router Mesh network it is NAT mode not bridge because it is mesh network.

I was able to communicate between them by connecting it to a lan port on the tplink router, but I can't access the ips and devices on my google wifi network.

for an example of networks I have:

Lan port 3 = IP 192.168.85.1/24 DHCP
Lan port 4 = IP 192.168.87.1/24 DHCP - On Wifi Google Mesh
Lan port 5 = IP 192.168.90.1/24 DHCP - On DVR Cam

Wifi google router 192.168.86.1/24 GTW and DHCP 192.168.86.20-192.168.86.200 range

when I try to connect my cam 192.168.90.100 to 192.168.86.28 I am not successful in the connection.

@esilveira  I don't have a Google Wifi Mesh system, so the following is based on a few minutes of searching for the characteristics of the product on Google, and therefore might be inaccurate. I also don't know the specifics of the IP camera/DVR system you are using, so I am making a few assumptions.

I think the long story short is you can't do what you want with the equipment you have now. When NAT is enabled on the Google Mesh system, then devices outside it (on the ER605 LAN side) cannot communicate with the devices on WiFi, by the very nature of NAT.

I think you have a few options:

1. Open ports (port forwarding or "virtual server") or use DMZ on the Google Mesh system so your cameras on the LAN can connect to whatever device is on the WiFi side.

2. Get another ethernet switch, and connect that to the second port of your primary Google Mesh puck so that the wired LAN is on the same side of the NAT as the WiFi devices.

3. Switch from NAT mode to Bridge mode on the Google Wifi. This unfortunately means disabling mesh functionality as a limitation of the product, so you will have to link them with an ethernet backhaul.

Hope this helps!

Hi Future,
Thanks for trying to support me, I'll answer you about the options you provided me.

Option 1: Port Forwarding and VirtualServer didn't work, too bad.

Option 2: Do you have any suggestions for a switch compatible with this infrastructure?

Option 3: I can't do it.

What I tested and it worked and I found it curious:

On my macbook connected to the WIFI network (google-mesh) open the web console of my DVR/NVR (intelbras-brazil) yes I am on the 192.168.86.1/24 network and my DVR on the 192.168.90.1/24 network connected directly to my router (tplink).

Now when I enter my DVR through the web console, the cameras that are on the wifi network (google) I cannot access. Curious, don't you think?

First mistake I can tell, double-NAT. So, it is never recommended to use two routers is a setup. Unless you know what you are doing.

Of course it is, you cannot access the devices on Google WIFI. Because it is behind a NAT which is hosted by your Google router.

So you are supposed to port forward. That's right.

When you port forward your camera on your Google mesh, you should make sure you port forward the internal port correctly. On the DVR network, you should make sure you can ping the WAN IP of your Google mesh. Then you can test the port by telnet 192.168.87.X port

Anyway you have to make sure you can access the IP and the port(of Google mesh because it is the NAT and port forward an internal device to its WAN)

Note that you cannot have a duplicate external port on your Google mesh while it mirrors different devices.

On your DVR, input the correct WAN IP of Google and the port. Then they should communicate. (This is based on the presumption that you don't have ACL blocking LAN to LAN)

  @Clive_A

Thanks for reply Clive

I understood about the double NAT, I just want to use my google mesh wifi for now I'll put the whole network in tplink mesh for now.

I will answer you about your answers:

My DVR is on LAN 5 with IP: 192.168.90.100

I created the virtual server as instructed:

I went to my dvr and did the PING test for my google wan ip: 192.168.80.11 without success, but it pings the ip 192.168.80.10 from lan5:

my ip: 192.168.80.11 is what appears on the google wan router looking through the google home app(wifi)

I don't have configured ACL rules and my ports are in UNTAGE mode.
