I have my tapo c460 set to save locally to an SD card, no encryption.

 

Recorded clips look normal when playing back in the application. When downloading the clips though, the clips skip the first ~6 seconds. The recorded video starts at the right timestamp, but it immediately skips forward to the 6 second mark and I cant go backwards. 

 

This happens in the tapo app as well as in any application that I open the recordkng with. Happens on both of my cameras as well.

Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported phenomenon.

 

  1. What's your phone's model number and OS version? What's the Tapo app version?
  2. Have you tried on a different phone, and does the same phenomenon occur? What applications have you tried to play the downloaded video clips in?
  3. Is the SD card inserted into the camera or a Tapo hub, such as H200?
  4. Would you please send us a video showing the reported phenomenon? You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

1) tapo app 3.14.519

Pixel 9, android 16

 

2) happens in the tapo app as well as with Google photos. Haven't tried on another phone

 

3) SD card is inserted into the camera directly

 

4) see attached. The clip should start at 3:08:25 and you should see an animal walk across the view if it was working correctly.
