How to download video from Tapo C200 to iPhone

Could someone teach me how to cut out a portion of recorded motion-detection videos and download it to my iPhone ?
While replaying recored motion-detection video, I tapped on the video camera icon to start copying a portion of video to app's Memory, and tap it again to stop copying at the end of the portion I wanted.
Then, I opened Memory tab and checked the clip copied there, but the time frame of the copied clip is quite different from what I wanted. The clip starts several seconds later than I intended, and so it does not include the scene I wanted to download to my iPhone. I tried this several times, but I got the same results.
Am I doing something wrong ?
If someone knows the right procedure, please teach me.

After conducting a series of tests with numerous settings, I think I have found a tentative solution. That is, to start a copying process well BEFORE playback of the wanted clip begins.
Suppose there are following two detection clips recorded in a microSD card, and I want to cut out a clip from 9:30:00 - 9:30:25.
clip1 : 9:00:00 - 9: 01:00
clip2 : 9:30:00 - 9:31:00
What I should do is to start playback detection video at some point BETWEEN the clip1 and clip2, i.e., in the white blank zone between the two orange lines, and IMMEDIATELY tap the video camera icon to start copying in stead of waiting for the clip2 to start, and then, tap the icon again at 9:30:25 to end copying.
This procedure will create a clip 9:30:00 - 9:30:25 in the Memory tab, and now I can download it to my iPhone, or share it with my friends.
If someone comes up with a better solution, please share it with others here.

When you watch the Playback on the camera app, is there any delay when loading the detection clips? If no delay when playing the detection clip, please confirm how many seconds delay when you try to record the clip and try to record earlier.
Or you may put the microSD card into your computer and cut the recording files as required with a video editor tools.

There are almost no delay when loading the detection clips to playback on the Tapo app.
When I tap the playback & memory icon, it takes less than a second before the detction clips come up.
To answer your second question, I conducted a test with an actual detection clip starting at 13:00:18.
I replayed it and tried to cut out its portion from 13:00:18 till 13:00:35.
I did so three times and the clips I actually got in the Memory tab were ;
(clip 1) 13:00:24 till 13:00:43
(clip 2) 13:00:22 till 13:00:43
(clip 3) 13:00:26 till 13:00:43
While my tapping timings might not be 100% consistent, it seems there are 4 ~ 8 seconds delay with the actually cut out clips.
Is there any way to avoid such a delay, or is it inevitable for some reason, such as the limitation of microSD card's reading/writing speed ?
Besides the Tapo C200, I have been using Netgear's Arlo Q cameras which store detection clips in the firm's cloud server.
Those clips are listed by thumbnails, and I can download any clips to my iPhone with just a few tappings.
I would like to do the same thing with Tapo C200, while I understand the clips are stored in the local microSD card.
The workaround you suggested, i.e., pulling out the microSD card from the camera and putting it into my Mac to edit everytime I want to send a single detection clip to my friends, will probably solve the delay problem, but I would like to find a easier solution, if any.

Sorry for the delay.
The manually-recorded video could be saved on the smartphone directly;
But for the automatic motion detected video clips, they have been saved on the SD card already.
So they might need to be exported to the computer first and transferred to the smart phone;

How videos when be saved manually? What is the procedure? I try as you said and it is not accepted. I'm sorry but that's it. I can't access and use the given application normally. I feel like my hands are growing out of my ass. I apologize for such an expression!
Although the solution seems simple but when I start to apply it I encounter difficulties such as various errors such as Error_23_file not found_23-_AS213_sda565.

It is referring to manually recording the video on the live-view page.
For the motion detected clip, they would be saved on the SD card directly.

@ojix Thank you for the useful information. I faced with a similar problem and now I will know how to download a video. Now I have a different task. I don't understand how to convert a video to another format. Perhaps someone faced with such a problem.
