Hi,

The new firmware Archer MR600(EU)_V2_220826 still supports 4G+.

It defaults to using 4G for low-bandwidth network activities and will switch to 4G+ for high bandwidth activities.

Just seen this post. So when you say "It defaults to using 4G for low-bandwidth network activities and will switch to 4G+ for high bandwidth activities." this confirms the numerous complaints that the MR600 constantly switches between 4G and 4G+, and this is actually a bug (and not a feature). Why was this denied by TP Link for years?!

As requested some time before, it would be helpful if TP-Link would provide support to get an OpenWRT version for the MR600 and let the community try and fix TP-Links problems. And remove all spyware/backdoors etc. from TP-Link routers.

Unless you change this I will certainly not recommend any TP-Link products.

Thanks

  @MobileRouter

Out of interest, I tested my samsung a25 phone on mobile data - isp tpg/vodafone australia.  It exhibits similar behaviour to my MR600v2 (also TPG -updated to latest EU FW).

When Idle or low traffic, the icon on samsung goes from 4g+ to 4g after a minute.  Then when playing internet radio etc, 4g becomes 4g+.  This is exactly what I'm seeing on the MR600.

Older MR600 firmwares (pre v1.7) don't sync the 4g+ LED to the actual 4g state (as shown in advanced status ) it seems.

Hi,

First, thanks for this beta firmware; really helps me.

Can you add "Network Search" option in MR200(EU) V3 beta firmware that already has band selection option? I need both options to have better connectivity and avoid getting disconnected from internet.

I need to have the ability to manually select specific network around me (Some networks around me legally work on my SIM. ISPs have contracts with each other.) I have one MR600 V2 that already has Network Search under "Dial-up Settings" of Network>Internet in it's firmware, and it solved this problem, by having Network Select option.

Now I need this feature in/on my MR200 V3 beta firmware. (Firmware Version is 1.11.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.56677n

Sorry, English is not my language.

Sorry for my bad English!

  @Kevin_Z

Hello, i have a TL-MR150(EU)V2 with installed Firmware Version:‪1.3.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210629 Rel.62159n

Hardware Version:‪TL-MR150 v2 00000001

In general no problems with it, but sometimes it switches from band 7(high speed in my area) to band 3(much slower), so i need manual band selection which my firmware (1.3.0 0.9.1) doesnt have.

Upgrade to beta fw from this thread is impossible (maybe because it has older date (20200930)) and gives error 4503 while upgrading attempt.

Today i noticed that my router webgui is showing an update option - a new fw (1.4.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 240719 Rel.39500n)

I could not find any info on this new version, does it have a band selection option or not?

Or maybe there is some other fw with band selection that can be installed on my router that i dont know about?
