Q&As

Q1: How to connect Archer AXE300 to the network?

A1: There are 3 ports can be used as the WAN/Internet port, choose one and connect it to the ISP modem, then all the other ports will act as LAN.

  • 1× 10 Gbps RJ45/SFP+ Combo WAN/LAN Port (The combo port pairs a RJ45 port with an SFP+ port. Only one port in the pair can be used at a time.)
  • 1× 10 Gbps WAN/LAN Port
  • 1× 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN Port

During the Quick Setup, be sure and confirm again you are choosing the correct WAN/Internet port:

Q2: What if I cannot find the 6 GHz network?

A2: Wi-Fi 6E is hardware-dependent, please ensure the client device supports 6 GHz Wi-Fi.

To get more troubleshooting suggestions, please visit What if my device failed to detect the 6 GHz Wi-Fi Band of Wi-Fi 6E Routers.

Q3: How can I get 5 Gbps speed?

A3: Only when your network equipment meet all the requirements can you obtain 5 Gbps speed:

  • Network layout will be: ISP Modem -- CAT6A --- (10 Gbps WAN) AXE300 (10 Gbps LAN) --- CAT6A --- PC
  • ISP Modem is equipped with a 10 Gbps Ethernet port and supports 10 Gbps connection.
  • Both Ethernet cables support 10 Gbps. CAT6A/CAT7/CAT8 cable can support 10 Gbps.
  • The wired computer supports 10 Gbps, which means it has a 10 Gbps Ethernet adapter.

Note: You can check the link speed of the ports in the web management page of the Archer AXE300 (Network > click the router icon):

Q4: Where to buy Archer AXE300?

A3: Check if Archer AXE300 is launched on the local TP-Link website first, if yes, look for "Where to buy" on the website, or search for 'AXE300' in the local stores or online shops.

*Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage, and quantity of connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and client location.

**Use of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and its features, including OFDMA, HE160, and 1024-QAM, requires clients to support the corresponding features. The 160 MHz bandwidth is only available on the 5 GHz band. It may be unavailable in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions.
